Where it goes
Your bill is one number. The flow splits it into what it pays for.
Heating and cooling
We estimate heat loss from your floor area, how leaky the house is, and your local heating and cooling degree days (NASA POWER, 2001–2025 average). That load is divided by your system's efficiency.
Hot water
Shower gallons × the energy to heat water (8.34 Btu per gallon per °F, per the U.S. DOE) ÷ your water heater's efficiency.
Lights
Old 60 W bulbs × hours on. An LED giving the same light uses about 9 W.
Everything else
If you add a bill, whatever the model can't place shows as "everything else", so the flow adds up to what you pay.
